I sure hope Nissan brings the Navara to the US under the Frontier name because I think its got a lot of great and unique stuff going for it.
It would make sense too, since they are on a truck push right now and trucks are selling. Could you even imagine (dreaming really) a 7 seat SUV built on this? You could call it a pathroamer...no that’s no good, path...something. I’ll find the words...

Probably wouldn’t get the 2.3 though...which is a bummer.

Looks like a bathtub with headlights.
Then again, so does the Colorado and the Ranger. That high-window-sill look is kinda goofy.

you are just trolling me and my pathfounder right?
p.s I am now jeepless since monday.

Well, not JUST you.

They really should replace the Frontier with something. It’s pretty damn long in the tooth. I’m not sure I really like this (needs less big), but that's the way the segment is going.

Its the same size as a Canyorado, it just looks big.

I think Nissan is waiting for a v6 engine to go with the new Frontier, also it makes sense as the new Titan doesn’t have a v6 option either. Worldwide you can choose between a 2.5l 4cyl, a single turbo 2.2l diesel, a twin turbo 2.2l diesel and an older 2.5l diesel which is a carry over from the previous truck.
Maybe Nissan will do a GM move and create a new truck for the American market just like the Chevrolet Colorado/Isuzu D-Max.

I think that one is too big too. But, since I'm not buying, my opinion doesn't really matter, does it? What I want is a truck about the size of an old Mistu Mighty Max or Nissan Hardbody, or at most the first gen Dakota.

They would need to find room to build it, but with the Xterra and Frontier going offline...seams like they could find it a home.

I honestly think there is going to be some manufacture who wins big with this market...and I think its going to be FCA. Rumor is that the Ram 700/Fiat Strada might get a reworking for the US market. It would be FWD based but who really cares in that segment?

I'd buy that if they brought it to the US. I like the proportions, and I loved the off road capability of my Xterra.

The Fiat strada is much smaller than even the old Nissan Hardbody’s, it wouldn’t work in the US.
I think they might rework the Fiat Toro (Jeep Renegade chassis) and sell it in the US (and even that is just slightly smaller than a Colorado).

Makes sense. Yeah, I’m always amazed how big the renegade is for a “small” car.

Well the Toro’s wheelbased is stretched so total length is 193.3 inches and a Renegade is 166,7 inches, a Colorado is 212.7 inches.

Agreed that they should bring it to the US, especially in light of how well the Toyota and GM little-trucks are selling.
The current Frontier isn’t bad, it’s just old.

They’re calling this the new Frontier Pro4x in Mexico right now, so there’s hope I guess.
